Performs Benefit Concert in ROME
November 23, 2005
http://www.amicicaritas.net/public/index.php
The
association "Friends of Caritas of Rome," which
is dedicated to the poor and needy, announces a benefit concert by
composer/pianist Suzanne Ciani, at 7:30 PM this November 23rd in
the Basilica of St. Cecilia - P.za S.
Cecilia, 22 in Rome. Ciani, an Italian American, remains one of the
best composers in the new age category; her music has become known
and appreciated all over the world.
Among her numerous compositions is a song composed for the documentary
film dedicated to Mother Teresa of Calcutta and which was introduced
to Pope John Paul II at the beatification ceremony for Mother in
Rome, which Ms. Ciani attended. It was Mother Teresa herself who
once said to Ms. Ciani, "Use your gift for God." And,
In fact, her concerts are frequesntly dedicated
to humanitarian causes.
It
was AWESOME. And did you
know that St. Cecilia is
the patron saint of musicians?
It was very special indeed
to be able to perform there.
They do not allow any "commercial" concerts
and as this was a high profle
benefit, with the ambassador
from Pakistan and many
other notables, we were allowed.
Very very special. - Suzanne
Ciani
